Who can enter?
This giveaway is for K–12 educators working at a school in the contiguous United States.
Classroom teachers are absolutely eligible, but we know educators have lots of different titles. Librarians, instructional technology coaches, media specialists, STEM coordinators, special education educators, and other school-based instructional professionals with a legitimate educational use for eGlass are welcome to apply.
You don’t necessarily need “Teacher” in your job title. If you work directly in K–12 education and would put eGlass to work with students or educators at your school, we want to hear your idea!
What if I’m not a teacher?
If you work directly in K–12 education and have a legitimate educational use for eGlass at your school, go ahead and apply!
That includes roles such as librarians, instructional technology coaches, media specialists, STEM coordinators, special education educators, and similar school-based professionals.
If you don’t work in education and simply think eGlass is really cool—we appreciate it! But this particular giveaway is just for educators.
Are college or university educators eligible?
No. This particular giveaway is focused on K–12 educators.
Where is the giveaway available?
The giveaway is available to eligible K–12 educators in the contiguous United States (lower 48 states).
We cannot ship giveaway units to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

We’re giving away up to 100 brand-new 35” eGlass Lightboards to educators!
Is eGlass really free?
Yes!
If your submission is selected, your brand-new 35” eGlass Lightboard is provided at no cost.
Selected recipients are responsible only for a $50 shipping and handling fee.
Nothing is due when you apply.
When do I pay the $50 shipping and handling fee?

If your submission is selected, we’ll contact you by email with instructions for paying the $50 shipping and handling fee and claiming your eGlass.

Can more than one teacher from my school apply?
Yes!
Multiple educators from the same school are welcome to submit their ideas. However, our goal is to bring eGlass to as many different schools as possible, so we generally plan to award no more than one giveaway unit per school.
If multiple educators from the same school apply, we’ll review the submissions at our discretion. Multiple applications from the same school do not guarantee multiple eGlass units.
Can I receive more than one eGlass?
No. There is a limit of one giveaway eGlass per educator, regardless of how many applications or videos you submit.
Can I submit more than one video?
You’re welcome to share your eGlass ideas, but submitting additional videos does not make you eligible for additional units or guarantee selection.

How are recipients selected?
Our team will review eligible submissions and select educators based on their proposals and the requirements of the program.
We’re especially excited to see thoughtful, creative, and practical ways educators would put eGlass to work with their students.
Follower count, video production quality, likes, and views are not what we’re looking for.
Selection is at our discretion, and submitting an application does not guarantee an eGlass.
Is this first come, first served?
Not exactly.
We recommend applying early because only up to 100 units are available, but every submission still needs to be reviewed and approved by our team.
When will I know if I’ve been selected?
Our team will review submissions and contact selected educators by email.
Keep an eye on the email address you provided on your application!
What happens if I’m selected?
Congratulations!
We’ll contact you at the email address provided on your application with instructions for claiming your eGlass.
You’ll have 7 days from the date of your approval email to complete the required $50 shipping and handling payment.
Once your payment is received and your information is confirmed, we’ll prepare your brand-new 35” eGlass for shipment to your school.
What if I don’t pay the shipping fee within 7 days?
Because we’re giving away a limited number of eGlass Lightboards, selected educators have 7 days to claim their unit by completing the $50 shipping and handling payment.
If payment isn’t received within that period, your eGlass may be offered to another educator.
If you run into an issue, contact us at sales@eglass.io before your deadline and we’ll do our best to help.
Where will my eGlass be shipped?
Giveaway units must be shipped directly to the school or educational institution listed on your application.
Please provide a complete school shipping address and any helpful delivery information, such as a building, department, room, or attention line.
Giveaway units cannot be shipped to residential addresses.
Can I sell the eGlass I receive?
No.
Giveaway units are provided specifically for educational use at the recipient’s school and may not be resold.

What do I need to do to enter?
It’s easy:
Step 1: Post a short, public video telling us how you would use eGlass in your classroom.

We want to hear your idea. You don’t need to make a commercial for eGlass.
How long should my video be?
Keep it short!
Around 30–60 seconds is plenty.
If you need a little longer to explain your idea, that’s okay too. We’re much more interested in what you have to say than hitting an exact time limit.
Does my video need to be professionally produced?
Absolutely not.
Grab your phone and tell us your idea.
No professional camera. No fancy lighting. No editing. No perfect script required.
We’re looking for great classroom ideas—not influencers.
Where can I post my video?
You can submit a publicly accessible video from a major social platform such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, or YouTube.
Just make sure the link you submit allows our team to view your video.
Does my social media account need to be public?
Yes.
Your submission must be publicly viewable when our team reviews your application.
If your account or post is private and we can’t view your video, we won’t be able to properly review your proposal.

What if I forget a tag or make a typo in the hashtag?
Don’t panic!
We’re looking for great educators with great ideas, not reasons to disqualify someone over a typo.
If you notice a mistake, simply edit your post if the platform allows it.
Minor tagging or hashtag mistakes won’t necessarily disqualify an otherwise eligible submission.
The most important thing is that the link you submit works and our team can view your proposal.
Does my follower count matter?
Not at all.
You don’t need to be an influencer or have a large social following.
We’re interested in what you’d do with eGlass in your classroom, not how many followers you have.
Will having more likes or views improve my chances?
No.
This isn’t a popularity contest.
Likes, shares, views, and follower counts are not how we’re evaluating submissions.

Can students appear in my video?
They don’t need to!
Your proposal can simply be you talking to the camera.
If you choose to include students, you are responsible for following your school or district’s policies regarding student privacy, recording, and media permissions.
Can I submit a video I’ve already posted?
Yes, as long as the video meets the giveaway requirements, explains how you would use eGlass in your classroom, and is publicly accessible when our team reviews it.
What happens to the video I submit?
As part of your application, you’ll be asked to give eGlass and HoverCam permission to share your submission.
That means we may repost or feature your video on eGlass and HoverCam social media, websites, emails, and other marketing and promotional materials.
We love seeing educators’ ideas—and we may want to share yours!

What is eGlass?
eGlass is an illuminated transparent lightboard with a built-in camera that lets you write, draw, annotate, and explain while continuing to face your students.
Instead of turning your back to the class to write on a traditional whiteboard, you write naturally on the transparent glass while the built-in camera captures you and your writing together.
The camera image can then be displayed on your classroom display, interactive panel, projector, or used in video conferencing and recording applications.

Your eGlass comes with adjustable desk legs, so you don’t need to purchase a separate stand or mounting system.
You’ll just need:
- A laptop
- A table, desk, or countertop with enough space for your eGlass
- A nearby power source
- A classroom display, interactive panel, or projector if you’d like your class to see the eGlass camera image on a larger screen
Connect eGlass to your laptop, download the free eGlass software, place it on a suitable desk or table, and you’re ready to teach.
Do I have to purchase software?
No.
The eGlass software is free to download and use with your eGlass.
Do I have to learn how to write backwards?
No!
Write normally on the glass.
The eGlass software flips the camera image so your writing appears correctly to your students.
No backwards-writing skills required.
Where do my students see the eGlass image?
The eGlass camera captures you and your writing together.
That camera image runs through your connected laptop and can be shown on your classroom display, interactive flat panel, projector, or other display system.
Your students get to see you and what you’re writing at the same time.
Can I use eGlass for regular in-person teaching?
Absolutely!
That’s one of the best ways to use it.
Instead of turning your back to your students to write on a traditional whiteboard, eGlass lets you write while continuing to face your class.

Can I use eGlass with Zoom and other video conferencing platforms?
Yes.

Can I record lessons with eGlass?
Yes!
eGlass is great for creating recorded lessons, demonstrations, tutorials, flipped-classroom content, review videos, and other instructional content.

Can I use digital content while teaching with eGlass?
Yes.
The eGlass software allows educators to incorporate digital content into their presentations so they can teach alongside and annotate visual materials while remaining on camera.
Do I have to use the anti-reflection hood?
No.
The included anti-reflection hood is completely optional.
It can help control reflections depending on your classroom lighting and environment, but you don’t have to use it.
Does the giveaway include the eGlass Station Podium?
No.
Your 35” eGlass already includes adjustable desk legs, allowing you to set it up on an appropriate table or desk right out of the box.
The eGlass Station Podium is a separate, optional accessory for educators who want a dedicated eGlass workstation.
Approved giveaway recipients can purchase the optional eGlass Station Podium for $999, including shipping.
You do not need the Station Podium to use your eGlass or participate in the giveaway.
What if my classroom also needs a display?
Approved giveaway recipients can purchase an optional 75” FusionBoard interactive touch display for $1,199, including shipping.
The FusionBoard stand is not included.
Do I have to purchase the Station Podium or FusionBoard to receive my free eGlass?
No. Absolutely not.
Both products are completely optional.
Your 35” eGlass comes with adjustable desk legs and can be set up on a suitable table or desk.
Purchasing the eGlass Station Podium, FusionBoard, or any other product has no bearing whatsoever on whether your giveaway submission is selected.
